Tim Welch

Electrical Technician/Programmer

Tim has been in the machine tool industry since 1987 when he cut his teeth as a pipe fitter. He has been a machine tool electrician since 1989 with a background in robotics, transfer lines, assembly machines and welding lines. He starting working on broaching machines in 2001.

Prior to joining the BMS team he was an Electrical Job Leader at a large manufacturer of welding and assembly machines.

Although his wiring, fabricating and panel building skills are a valuable part of the electrical department, Tim’s desire and willingness to grow and learn made him the perfect candidate for PLC programming training which he completed in 2009.

Tim continues to grow as a PLC programmer and has become proficient with numerous Allen-Bradley PLCs and various HMIs.

Tim’s dedication to customer satisfaction is legendary. In fact, on a particularly time sensitive project, he volunteered to, “wire the machine when it’s on the truck” if that was what was required to meet the customers delivery requirements. Tim takes pride in helping to deliver each and every broaching system BMS builds, “On Time, On Budget and On Objectives”.
